Sanitation Technician (Finance)
Purpose of Role:
The Sanitation Support Technician is responsible for the cleanliness of the plant environment including equipment. The Sanitation Technician provides a safe, clean, orderly environment that exemplifies a world class manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform cleaning as per the Master Cleaning and Shutdown/Start-up Cleaning Schedules
• Maintain control over the microbial environment in plant through detailed cleaning of plant equipment and surfaces, sanitation of high risk areas, and management of the environmental sampling program, adjusting efforts to minimize counts
• Perform preventive maintenance on all sanitation equipment
• Provide early detection of equipment degradation or malfunction throughout the plant
• Maintain grounds and perimeter of plant along with roof and roof mounted equipment
• Communicate any quality and food safety concerns to the site
• Communicate equipment and facilities defects to maintenance departments
Other:
• Responsible for following all Quality and Food Safety Policies and applicable procedures.
• Coordinate supplies, equipment and contractor support for plant sanitation and pest control
• Flow to help clean up with operations as needed
• Help create new or improve existing processes for cleaning and sanitation
• Assist in training Technicians on proper cleaning and sanitation procedures
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Key Technical Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience with Sanitation or Cleaning
• Forklift experience is a benefit (Training provided if needed)

• Someone who takes pride in a clean work environment and Is driven to support a team.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work independently and be a self-motivator
• Ability to work as part of a team and effectively interact with other departments
• Ability to work in environmental extremes (hot/cold), elevated heights, in confined spaces, around dust, and with chemicals
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality and Food Safety requirements
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
Critical Learning Experiences:
• Understanding of clean work practices
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
