Senior Advisor, Network Security (Project Management)
Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity
The Network Security Architect is responsible for the strategic leadership and development of the organization's network security architecture, focusing on building and enforcing security patterns, securing networks, and implementing Zero Trust frameworks. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the company's infrastructure is resilient, secure, and compliant with industry regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the organization's overall IT strategy and drive the adoption of advanced security technologies.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Lead the design, development, and implementation of network security architectures that align with Moneris's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Develop and enforce security patterns and best practices to protect networks and infrastructure.
Design, implement, and manage network segmentation strategies to comply with PCI DSS requirements.
Work closely with the business, infrastructure, and compliance team to regularly assess, audit, and ensure all network segmentation meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Architect, ability to configure, develop, and analyze advanced firewalls to protect against unauthorized access, threats, and vulnerabilities.
Initiate the development of Zero Trust Principles after understanding the business objecting and ensuring that the organization's network infrastructure adheres to Zero Trust principles, including least privilege access, continuous monitoring, and real-time threat detection.
Lead the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures for network security.
Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and encryption protocols.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Total of 12+ years of experience in information security with a focus on 7+ years of experience in network security, and a strong background in designing and implementing security architectures with a focus on network and infrastructure.

Experience with frameworks NIST, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, Network Detection and Response, Firewalls/IDS/IPS.
Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, SIEM, and encryption protocols.
Experience with leading the implementation of zero-trust security models.
Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset
