Material Requirements and Logistics Planner (Project Management)

INVISTA has an immediate need for a Material Requirements and Logistics Planner. This position will be based out of our site in Maitland, Ontario. We seek a skilled and motivated team member to transform the systems and processes used to manage our production planning, reconciliation processes and transportation movements. The selected individual will anticipate and respond to the production needs of the business to ensure the plant operates with correct amounts of raw materials, consumption is reconciled to production and customer order requirements are fulfilled.
This position will report to the Manufacturing Services and Logistics Crew Leader. You will collaborate and work closely with various internal & external organizations (i.e. logistics, finance, technical, business, regulators etc.). The successful candidate will work in a self- managed, cross-trained environment committed to serving our customers, while advancing transformation in logistics and MRP processes.

What You Will Do
- Coordinate and track deliveries to their destination utilizing appropriate documentation, carriers, equipment, and loading requirements
- Interface with internal and external partners to identify, plan, and execute efficient transportation plans
- Set specific priorities with assigned carriers and site services operations to accomplish delivery fulfillment and meet the shipment schedule
- Oversee carrier scheduling based on mode and monitor transit times
- Manage bulk fleet optimization and drive equipment availability
- Identify systemic problems and initiate corrective solutions
- Coordinate finished goods workflows
- Create an environment that promotes knowledge transfer and ownership across team members
- Champion and lead change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Optimize production, inventory and procurement processes in an evolving global marketplace, using collaboration, technology, and innovation
- Managing SAP material inventories to confirm and maintain accuracy enabling the business to plan and manage inventory risks and financial cost of producing
- Analyze data, problem solve and follow through to resolution in a team or individual environment
- Maintain Master Data - Accurate master data and BOMs are required to reflect proper materials associated to production
- GIP, Cycle Count of Materials - analyze the physical count results to the SAP results using Power Bi to identify any differences. Investigate variances to determine root cause and make the necessary process changes to bring the results into alignment
- Identify and automate tasks to streamline and transform how work is completed
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Five (5) or more years' experience in Logistics, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Supply Chain
- Super User status or experience in ERP specifically SAP ECC, SAP Transportation Management, Power BI, and SharePoint
What Will Put You Ahead
- Supply Chain / Logistics certification
- Prior experience/training in transporting dangerous goods Worldwide
- Post Secondary Degree (Associates/Bachelors)
