We are looking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Agile Software Development to lead two of our mission-critical Payment Gateway Platforms, those platforms play a crucial role as entry-points to Moneris payment processing ecosystem using Java, APIs, microservices, and Agile methodologies.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to Dir, Software Development and Architecture.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Team Leadership: Lead a team of experienced Java developers, fostering an Agile culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Platform Development: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of 2 of our Payment Gateway Platforms, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.
Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development, notably in Java, APIs, microservices, CI/CD and Agile methodologies to drive innovation within the team.
Agile Advocate: Collaborate effectively with product owner, scrum master, QA and other technical leads to ensure continuous and incremental delivery of high-quality software releases.
Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and software engineering best practices.
Technical Problem Solving: Act as a technical leader and guide the team in resolving complex technical challenges.
Operational Excellence: act as the ultimate platform owner in term of operational readiness, performance, and availability at 99.999% level.
Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the platform for performance, security, and scalability.
Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of software architecture, design and processes and knowledge sharing.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of proven experience managing software development teams in an Agile environment.
Hands-on technical background, in Java, Sockets, REST APIs, RDBMS, and microservices architecture.
Experience in the operation and support of mission-critical five 9's availability platforms is mandatory.
Experience in card payment processing or financial technology (FinTech) (is considered an asset)
Familiarity with payment industry standards and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS) is advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
