Senior Director - NAM North (VP Operations) (Finance)
The Sr. Director North NAM is responsible for the strategy development, leadership, implementation, and execution of the North NAM business to achieve financial and operational objectives. This includes the health & safety of employees, financial planning and results, profitable growth, product line strategy and implementation, product development direction, sales and marketing plans, inventory management, Quality results, and customer, technical, and commercial support. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and optimizing a business of $235M Revenue, ~650 staff in Canada. This position will collaborate closely with the NAM operations and global product line teams as well as manufacturing and ALCM teams. Exposure with diverse portfolios will support with strategic development across NAM when working with colleagues on opportunities for sharing of technologies, personnel and to support market share growth by spearheading initiatives to enhance production capabilities with our Global Product Line directors. This role collaborates closely with other executive leaders to ensure that operational strategies are integrated with overall business objectives.
This position is designed for exposure in 3 years into other Geozones.
Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for familiarity with the company's quality policies and taking an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's management system
• Maintain service quality across all areas of the business and continually seek areas for improvement
OPERATIONS
• Set and monitor the performance of operations and product lines against standards and targets in areas such as service quality, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, administration efficiency, and human resource management
• Ensure the safe and effective planning and use of resources (people, materials, capital, time) to meet customer needs and activity demands for the short and long term
• Ensure the interface between the operations management, sales, manufacturing, PL, and R&M organizations is working and that all are committed to optimizing financial performance in the best overall interest of the company
• Liaise with the sales organization and account managers to maintain an in-depth knowledge of customer's activity plans and local market conditions to help develop business plans
• Foster and lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that the internal processes within the organization meet the needs of the business
• Ensure One Weatherford policies & procedures are developed, launched, understood, and followed
COMMUNICATION
• Work with sales and operations leaders to support client relationships, including visits to client leadership
• Regularly communicate field performance, support, and quality objectives to local and Global management
• Keep apprised of business trends, competitor activities, and client's future requirements as well as Weatherford's reputation and use to improve business plans
• Maintain effective communications/ regularly meet with all internal and external key stakeholders (e.g., ALCM, Manufacturing, and Product Line leadership) to align plans, capacity, and capability with demand requirements
• Ensure supervisors & managers clearly communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities to their teams
• Support sales teams in service quality assessments, sales training, tenders, marketing material, and engaging with clients to ensure our services, products, and technical support meet their complete satisfaction
• Engage with leadership teams, field staff, and support organizations in regular and effective communications
FINANCIAL
• Define and manage the P&L and Budget requirements to maximize expected results including free cash flow, gross margin, field EBITDA, inventory, and capital employed within prescribed guidelines and based on market and customer activity
• Direct the financial progress of the assigned area in alignment with business plans and budgets, including regular Area and Weatherford reviews
• Ensure Product Line and Operations Managers manage material and supply inventory to effective levels of stock to meet operational requirements, cost targets, and utilization forecast
• All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
• With HR, develop a people strategy aligned to deliver the business strategy, including headcount planning, recruitment, succession management, training/development, and performance management
• Lead, guide, evaluate, and develop a team of managers and supervisors to ensure that the organization achieves its business objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws
• Lead and motivate employees to work to the best of their ability as part of the team through engagement, transparency, and alignment with our Values
• Ensure employees focus on developing their own careers including completing all
necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills, and experience

Experience & Education
REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline
• Minimum 10+ years of technical and operations experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
• 8+ years of experience managing a P&L in a large-scale Oil and Gas organization, in diverse business portfolios including similar experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, financial planning, and ensuring the analysis and interpretation of financial data.
• 5+ years of demonstrated knowledge of business principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, human capital, production methods and sales.
• 10+ years of experience leading and championing all elements of Quality and Safety at both base & field locations.
• 5+ years of experience managing large scale organizations' QHSSE and corporate governance needs.
• 10 + years of demonstrated experience interacting and communicating with local, national, and global leadership.
• 2-3 years of international experience, preferably with diverse portfolios, to understand the complexity of other markets in Oil and Gas and to support strategic development across NAM when working with colleagues on opportunities for sharing of technologies and personnel.
• 10+ years leading, guiding, evaluating, and developing a team of managers and supervisors to set and monitor the performance of operations and product lines against standards and targets in areas such as service quality, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, administration efficiency, and human resource management.
• 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in a matrixed structure and successful leadership of large teams, leading managers.
PREFERRED
• 5+ years' work experience Internationally with exposure across multiple product lines.

Travel Requirement: This role requires domestic and international travel of up to 25-50%

SALARY + BONUS
• We maintain broad salary ranges for our roles in order to account for variations in experience, training skills, geographic location, and market conditions, as well as to reflect our differing products and lines of business.
• Range: $204,776 - $380,000
• Target Performance Incentive = 40% of eligible Base Salary. The plan is made up of metrics (Financial, GZ Operations, Individual Performance Rating) with weightings for each metric identified at onset.
