Inventory Controller- Mars Wrigley, Newmarket ON (Finance)
The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining data integrity for raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables as well as the outbound flow of finished goods from the manufacturing site. The physical movement of materials and corresponding transactions within the ERP systems are the core responsibilities of the role. The Inventory Controller is a key role within the Supply Chain team and plays a pivotal part in the success of the organization.
In addition to maintaining ERP system integrity, the Inventory Controller accurately and timely manages inventory processes to enable growth and to support day to day operations. The Inventory Controller will produce weekly, periodic and annual NQC reporting and ensure timely submission of data in compliance with corporate deadlines. The Inventory Controller will assist in improving processes, procedures and internal controls and complete special projects on an as-needed basis. Additional responsibilities include the set up of new Finished Good items. maintaining Quality and Safety standards related to incoming packaging and raw materials, sustaining accurate inventory volumes to provide correct and detailed data for scrap tracking, over/under usages of materials. This position is also responsible for partnering with the Logistics Team, Chocolate Techs and production leads to deliver an efficient and agile Logistical operation.
This position requires an in-depth understanding of the Inventory Control business processes, the SAP transactions that support the business processes, and the Waste systems that support the business processes. Knowledge of BOMs, Recipes, Traceability and the Change control process as it relates to ensuring that SAP data is properly configured and setup for the site is also an asset.
